inspiration # 5

i like that this installation has a more quiet subdued pace, it is a tad too sleepy for my taste, though, but i included it in the five inspirations to highlight that there are so many different ways to fashion audio-visual constructs. i like that the film is shot at night, thus it becomes automativally theatrical, cinematic and draws attention to itself.

re: the video below

the video below shows an interesting object that is both tactile and visually appealing. another aspect that fascinates me, is that vimeo itself reacts differently when embedding, thus the use of blogger and the "copy and paste" button tends to "inspire" different reactions, i copied the "fashionweek installation" ( which is the first post in this blog) from vimeo, with different results, the film shoots thru cyberspace and lands differently on my monitor, each and every time, that i call inspiring (and frustrating, too)

inspiration # 3

i just think it is funny how the two have so different opinions and discuss it so seriously. about the installation, i like that it is grande and that it uses the ceiling, so it becomes impressive just by scale and by the element of overshadowing the viewer.

inspiration # 2

the clapper is just a classic very simple interactive gadget, though it is not an audiovisual interactive piece in the strict sense, it is very effective though

inspiration # 1

this is just an interesting installation, i am not quite sure if it is interactive or just an assemblage of scenes, what i like though is that it uses film in a space, instead of having it just play on a screen (at least that is how i interpret the filmclip)- what is fascinating is the part at the beginning where the person moves but her shadow still remains as a silhouette and stays still. it makes you aware tht something dynamic and something static are not that different, we kind of perceive the world in a constantly changing array of scenes {if that makes sense)
